House driver jobs in Oman
Families in Oman post private driver jobs here: school runs, shopping, appointments and family trips for one household. This page is for private family driving only, not taxi, delivery or company driving.
These jobs are for drivers already living in Oman with a valid residence card; we don't arrange visas. Workers never pay: creating a profile and applying are free.
Create a free profile listing your driving experience, your languages and whether you have an Omani driving licence. You must be 21 or over, and your work licence has to move to your new employer before you start.

Do I have to pay to get a house driver job in Oman?
No. Oman's Labour Law (Article 31) says nobody may take money from a worker in return for a job, and MD 574/2025 (Article 7) says an employer may not take money from you to employ you or move you to a new employer. You never pay to use OmanHousemaids either.
Is a family driver covered by Oman's domestic-worker rules?
Yes. Private driver is one of the 12 occupations in MD 574/2025. You get a written contract registered with the Ministry of Labour, at least one paid rest day a week, at least 21 days' paid annual leave, health insurance paid by your employer and, after two years, an end-of-service gratuity.
Can I take other driving work in my free time?
No. Your work licence is for one employer and one occupation. MD 574/2025 (Article 9) bars your employer from letting you work on your own account or for anyone else.
How do I change employer as a driver in Oman?
Your new employer applies online through Ministry of Labour e-service 286. The request goes to your current employer to approve or reject. The new employer pays the OMR 5 fee, and the Royal Oman Police confirm the change. You can't start the new job until it is approved. Our guide to finding domestic work in Oman explains each step.
Can I apply from outside Oman?
No. Jobs and profiles on OmanHousemaids are only for workers who already live in Oman with a valid residence card. We don't arrange visas, and we don't take part in recruitment from abroad.
