Housemaids and home help in Barka
Browse housemaids, nannies, carers and private drivers who live in Barka, in Al Batinah South governorate, and are looking for full-time work with a family. Each profile is written by the helper and lists experience, languages, skills and availability.
Live-in and live-out roles are both lawful for the employer who holds the helper's licence. A live-in helper needs a ventilated, lit and air-conditioned room with good bedding and a sanitary toilet (MD 574/2025, Article 14); a live-out helper gets free transport to and from work (Article 15).
The Barka list is still growing. If it's short, post a free job so helpers elsewhere in Oman can see it and respond.
OmanHousemaids is a listing site, not a recruitment office. You contact helpers directly and agree terms between yourselves, and helpers never pay.

Common questions
Can I find a housemaid in Barka?
Yes. Helpers who live in Barka are listed on this page, sorted by who was most recently active. If the list is short, post a free job or browse helpers across Oman.
Should I hire a live-in or live-out housemaid in Barka?
It depends on your home and routine; either way the wage is agreed in the contract. Live-in means a room that meets Article 14 of MD 574/2025, plus food. Live-out means free transport every working day (Article 15). Our live-in or live-out guide compares the two.
What should I check before a helper starts?
Check the helper is 21 or over with an in-date residence card, and that the helper's work licence has moved to your household before the first day. Our interview guide lists the questions to ask.
