Housemaid profiles in Oman
Browse housemaids who already live in Oman and are looking for full-time work with a family. Each profile is written by the helper and lists experience, languages, skills such as cooking, cleaning, ironing and childcare, whether they want a live-in or live-out role, and when they can start.
OmanHousemaids is a listing site, not a recruitment office. You choose who to contact, arrange interviews yourselves and agree terms directly, with no placement fee on either side. Profiles are sorted by who was most recently active.
Hiring someone who is already in Oman still follows the official route. Your household needs its own Ministry of Labour licence, and the helper's work licence moves to you through the ministry's change-of-employer service before they start. The helper never pays for any of it.

Common questions
How much is a housemaid paid in Oman?
There's no single legal figure. Oman sets no minimum wage for expatriate domestic workers, so the wage is what you and the helper agree in the registered contract. Some home countries set a minimum before their embassy approves a contract. You also provide food, suitable accommodation and health insurance. Our salary guide explains how pay, deductions and end-of-service gratuity work.
Can I hire a housemaid who already lives in Oman?
Yes. The new employer applies through Ministry of Labour e-service 286, online or at a Sanad centre. The current employer approves or rejects the request, the new employer pays the ministry's OMR 5 fee, and the Royal Oman Police confirm the change. The housemaid can't start work for you until it is approved. Our change-of-employer guide has the steps.
Can I hire a housemaid in Oman without a recruitment office?
Yes. Under MD 574/2025 (Article 8) the household holds the Ministry of Labour licence, and no rule requires a recruitment office. Apply through the ministry's e-services or at a Sanad centre. Our guide to recruitment offices and direct hire compares the two routes.
What room must I provide for a live-in housemaid?
MD 574/2025 (Article 14) requires a well-ventilated, lit and air-conditioned room with sound doors, windows and ceilings, good bedding, a suitable wardrobe and a sanitary toilet. You also provide food (Article 13) and health insurance (Article 16). See live-in or live-out help.
Can I share a housemaid with another family?
No. MD 574/2025 (Article 9) bars an employer from letting their worker work for others, and bars a family from employing a worker who isn't licensed to them. The fine is OMR 50–500 per violation, per worker, and Labour Law penalties may also apply. Every housemaid on this site is looking for a job with one family.
